Statistics say we have more free time in society now than ever before. If that is true, why does it always feel like there’s always more to do and less time to do it?

As an entrepreneur with a lean team or a team of one, it’s vital to your success that you master time management.

Here at Flourish Media we used the Flourish Method when we Schedule projects for the business. In our system we encourage imagination we want you to dream big and work backwards into practical steps.

Here is how it works:

  • Mission

  • Objective

  • Sowing StrategyRooting Activity

We created a cute business planner with these steps clearly outline for you! You don’t ever have to worry about being productive ever again!

Mission: this is your big dream. Let’s say you want to leave your 9-5 job.

Objective: this is how much money you want to make or spend in order to accomplish your mission. Let’s say you need (3) months of your expenses to leave your job.

3 Sowing Strategies: these are  practical options to reach your objective.

Option 1: Cut down expenses so that you can save money toward your exit fund

Option 2: Ask for a raise at your current job so that you can save that extra money toward your exit fund

Option 3: Find another source of income and save that money toward your exit fund.

4 Rooting Activity: these are tasks that you need to do in order to execute ONE Sowing Strategy

  • Make a list of my expenses

  • Decide what expenses are need vs want

  • Decide what I can cut

  • Make a timeline based on how much I can save each month

This is the exact process we use to plan PublisHER, Book Fair for Self Published Authors and the Flourish Media Conference, Where Women Do Business. We think Big then work our way backwards to the small tasks.

This process helps to keep daily task manageable. It’s like eating an elephant, you have to do it one small bite at a time.
