Shanequa Fleming holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership, Master of Science in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Organization Development Network and Association for Talent Development (ATD). Shanequa gives back to the discipline of leadership and the profession of human resources by serving as an adjunct professor, speaker, presenter and panelist for professional conferences and seminars. Shanequa Fleming is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. She is a proud wife of Dr. Jermaine Fleming and mother of two amazing sons and a beautiful daughter. Named as one the country’s Top 20 African-American Interiors Designers in 2015 and 2016, Tonya R. Comer has owned and operated an interior design business since 2002. She founded her award-winning firm, Tonya Comer Interiors, in 2007 and has since expanded beyond creating custom interiors to also designing and licensing consumer products.
Prior to finding her passion for interior design, Tonya earned an MBA from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad Graduate School of Management and a BA from Duquesne University and held a robust corporate career in Marketing, Advertising, Communications and Corporate Consulting.
Despite her accomplishments, she is no stranger to adversity. Tonya has developed a set of Principles called, “The 7 Power Tools for Designing Your Life.” These Principles were developed from the hard lessons she learned in her life and career. In her debut to authorship, the Principles will soon be the subject of a self-help book.
