Dr. Booker-Drew is an author, professional speaker, and leading consultant that holds an extensive background in nonprofit management and partnership development. She expands and educates diverse women on networking, leadership, and community development. Dr. Booker-Drew was recognized and awarded for the Outstanding African American Alumni Award from the University of Texas at Arlington, she was a semi-finalist for the SMU TEDx, and has been recognized for many prolific awards. She states that the most impactful event of her life was being featured in a documentary, called Friendly Captivity, where a cast of seven (7) women from Dallas, Texas embark on a remarkable journey in India.

Dr. Booker-Drew works with diverse audiences, specifically women, in her consultancy. As a leading consultant, she believes one thing women should understand when building their brand, is their purpose and their story. Dr. Booker-Drew states, “Women can lose their authenticity trying to be something they are not, because they have not embraced the totality of who they truly are.” She published three books all with the aim to help her audience grow in their personal and professional life. In her book, Rules of Engagement: Making Connections Last, she creates a workbook for women who understand the value of relating to others and developing relationships both professionally and personally.

She shares with Flourish her insight on how women can grow and thrive through self-development. Some self-care tips she recommends to other business women is attending a silence retreat, where one can experience solitude and have the opportunity to connect with their inner selves. She also restates the importance of building relationships, and how a tribe is everything. “I teach women how to build their social capital and networks. I am who I am because of the amazing women who walk with me and we support one another.” says Dr. Booker-Drew.
