I'm a pregnant entrepreneur in self-quarantine.

Like most of the world social distancing significantly altered my day to day life. As a result, I spend more hours cleaning, organizing and reorganizing my home. I couldn't help but notice that I've collected a number of Tory Burch shoes over the years. I pride myself on keeping a minimalistic lifestyle and yet I have seven shoes from this brand. I had to ask myself, why?

At this point in my pregnancy, I find myself choosing comfort over fashion. I am 22 weeks (second trimester). I find it harder to wear high heels, due to a change in my balance because of my growing baby bump. I notice my legs swelling. My joints hurt. I can no longer keep up with my Beach Body series of home workouts. Yet, on the rare occasion that I leave my home, alongside my facemask and hand sanitizer, I reach for a pair of Tory Burch shoes more and more.

In a time where Amazon is the best option for shopping and fast fashion brands like Fashion Nova flood social media feeds, brands like Tory Burch depend on brand saliency to maintain its status amongst its loyal shoppers. Tory Burch shoppers know they can depend on quality materials, a carefree yet sophisticated air, and comfort.

It's my opinion that keeping to brand principles - one being comfort - is why affluent women find themselves wearing Tory Burch before, during and after pregnancy.
