Catalina Restrepo and Flourish Media worked together to develop a career for her through creating digital products and improving public speaking. She had already developed a multi-family real estate company, but needed guidance on how to achieve her desired success without being hyper exposed in media.
Some people define success by their financial standpoint, but Catalina set a new precedent when working with us. She defined it by having ample time for her personal life and caregiving for her child, especially being a mother of a special needs child. Requiring a work life balance is necessary for all business owners. We believe that success is what you define it, and we will guide you to achieve that. While working with Catalina we were able to develop House Hacking Like an Investor, in multiple languages. This course led her to create a team of over 30 new agents, which strategically left her more time for her personal life. We knew what she wanted, so helping her achieve that in the long run was a win for us and her.
Catalina recognized that caregiving to her child would come with a cost, like most women who are caregivers of loved ones experience. From the financial strain of childcare expenses to the emotional toll of caring for aging parents or sick family members, the sacrifices women make for caregiving are endless. Financially, the cost of childcare, elder care, and medical expenses can quickly add up and strain budgets. Leaving the workforce or scaling back professional ambitions to prioritize caregiving responsibilities can have long-term implications for women's financial success and professional development. Not only does caregiving come with financial and professional development costs, but it has detrimental impacts on women’s personal lives.
Caregiving can take over one’s life, leaving room for nothing else.In the pursuit of fulfilling caregiving duties, many women find themselves postponing or pausing personal aspirations and pleasures. The prospect of marriage, once viewed as a milestone of adult life, may take a backseat to the demands of caregiving responsibilities. Similarly, the desire to travel, explore new opportunities, or pursue creative passions and hobbies often are put aside for more immediate concerns, like caregiving. Support is desperately needed for women who are forced to put their dreams and aspirations aside for caregiving of loved ones. The lack of support and space for self-discovery creates an ongoing cycle of deferred dreams, halting women's potential, limiting their economic status, and ultimately affecting their personal lives.
