Tribe Feature | Ebony Jeanette PR

Artists thrive off of media buzz. Artists interviews, album and live show reviews, as well as other promotional efforts are all important when keeping the artist in the spotlight. And this is exactly what Ebony Jeanette PR (EJPR) specializes in. Founded by Ebony Jeanette, EJPR knows how to get bands, artists, record labels, and music companies the recognition they deserve. EJPR does this through the services they provide which are: creative strategy consultations, custom publicity campaigns, press release services, and artists only resources. EJPR has shown a track record of success when it comes to the opportunities she was able to arrange for her clients. A number of them have received placement in top music & entertainment media outlets. Many have said that she is ranked as one of the best when it comes to the music business.

Ebony Jeannette PR was founded in 2010 and is Los-Angeles based. Jeannette has worked with a wide variety of clients within the music and entertainment industry, with a specific niche in musicians that are within the rock music genre. EJPR began when Jeanette took her passion for music into a full time profession.

My mission is to help musicians gain more exposure and spread their music to new audiences around the world.

After landing an internship at Century Media Company (SONY), she was soon contracted by the label to work with clients through her own freelance company. Since then, she has created EJPR into a successful freelancing force which has now been featured at the 2018 SXSW Music Conference, and her story and work has been featured in traditional and digital publications like Music Connection Magazine, MusicologyUK, and Haulix.com. EJPR has expanded its roster of services even more by including special digital and traditional event publicity. Jeanette is very knowledgeable in her profession and the success that she has attained proves it.

Flourish Media had the opportunity to speak with Jeanette to learn more about her story and some of the self-practices that helped her reach the success she has today. Jeanette was able to drop a few gems when talking about self-care.

Designating time and safe space for self care is one of the most important things we can all do to ensure we maintain optimal health in our personal and business life.

Some of her tips include:

1. Treating yourself kindly first in all situations, and by saying no to things that do not serve or benefit you in the time in which they are asked.

2. Taking time to reflect on previous achievements (even if it's just scrolling down IG memory lane), especially in times of self-doubt.

3. Choosing a time every week/month, or even every day, to bask in your "favorites". Taking "no screen days", going outside, and spending time with people you care about most.

Jeannette also shared how important tribe is to her business. For her, it’s about sharing your brand journey and allowing people to participate in it. “At EJPR, our focus and passion is to discover, curate, and promote extreme music and culture through engaging all of our networks and connecting them with the entertainment and brands they love by converting messages into meaningful media experiences and unforgettable events.” We are inspired by the success Jeannette was able to achieve, and wish her the best in all of her endeavors.
